Industrial facility. Critical equipment down. Parts needed immediately with no local CAD capability to reverse-engineer the failed components. The brief landed Monday morning. We had scan data processed and technical drawings shipped by Wednesday. The facility sourced fabrication locally and was back online before the weekend. This is what emergency callout looks like when you're dealing with a studio that doesn't need three meetings to start.

Shopify Was
Costing Them.
A specialty materials brand with 400+ SKUs was paying Shopify fees, fighting the template to make their products look right, and spending hours manually uploading product photos. We built them a static catalog site from their existing spreadsheet, connected it to their Google Drive photo folders, and got them off Shopify entirely. The result: a site that actually looks like their brand, loads faster, and costs nothing per month to host.

The Agent
That Qualifies.
A design studio was losing leads to slow response times — inquiries would come in outside business hours, get no response, and go cold by morning. We built and deployed a custom AI agent trained on their service offerings, pricing, and process. It now handles first contact 24/7: qualifies leads, explains the studio's work, and captures contact info for follow-up. The studio started conversations already warm instead of starting from zero.

Tracehaus is a boutique design and engineering studio based in Los Angeles. We bridge digital precision and real-world fabrication — from high-resolution scans to fully realized parts.

The studio was built on three things: craft, curiosity, and control. Automotive and motorsport work is where the roots are — but the capability stack has grown to cover experimental aircraft, industrial engineering, digital design, and now AI. Same rigor. Different problem.

We work by appointment. Every project starts with a focused discovery session — understanding your application, constraints, and end goals before any work begins. We scope it, we commit to it, we deliver it.

01 How do you actually work?
The AI-Pilot Philosophy

AI does the
lifting. We do the
thinking.

Every capability at Tracehaus is run through an AI-pilot model. That means AI handles the repeatable — the data processing, the first drafts, the formatting, the pattern-matching — while the humans in the studio handle the judgment calls, the quality bar, and the client relationship.

This isn't about replacing craft. It's about removing everything that isn't craft from the pipeline. The result is faster turnaround without lower standards, and prices that don't require you to take out a second mortgage to get a technical drawing done.

Engineering for everyone is the mission underneath all of it. The studio that was too slow, too expensive, and too specialized to exist for most clients — we built it to be accessible. That's the whole point.

02 What do you believe?
01
Design. Data. Drive.
02
Mail it Monday. Drawings Wednesday.
03
If it exists, we can scan it. If it doesn't, we'll build it.
04
The part was analog. Now it isn't.
05
AI co-pilots. Humans land the plane.
06
Born on an airport. Built for the track.
03 Why you, and not three other vendors?
The honest case
Four things nobody
else does.
01
01
The physical-to-digital pipeline.
No platform scans your parts, reverse-engineers them, and builds the catalog website to sell them. That's three different vendors for most businesses — or one studio for Tracehaus clients. Scanner, website, AI agent — all under one roof.
02
02
Zero platform dependency.
Every site we build is static HTML you own outright. No Shopify contract. No Webflow subscription. No email that doubles your bill. You host it on Netlify for free. The platform can't hold your business hostage because there is no platform.
03
03
AI co-pilot. Not AI replacement.
Every deliverable has a human reviewing it before it reaches you. AI accelerates the repeatable work so humans can focus on judgment calls. Platform speed with studio quality. That's the AI-pilot model.
04
04
The intake is the service.
Talking to the Tracehaus agent isn't a chatbot before the real help. It qualifies your project, explains what we'd actually do, and captures everything the studio needs to start. You arrive already halfway through discovery.

FAQ
Good questions.
Straight answers.
How fast is turnaround?

CAD from a scan or part is typically 48 hours from when we have it. For equipment-down emergencies, Emergency Callout guarantees 48-hour turnaround. 3D prints can be rushed to 48 hours. Every quote states a firm delivery date.

How do I get a part to you?

Ship it UPS or FedEx to the studio address on this page, or drop it off or pick it up by appointment. Email info@trace.haus with your tracking number and we'll confirm when it lands. We ship it back the same way when the job is done.

What files can you work from — and what do I get back?

Send STEP, IGES, STL, OBJ, drawings, photos or even a sketch. Deliverables are typically STEP, IGES, STL, OBJ or point cloud for 3D, and DXF, DWG or PDF drawing packages for 2D, plus source files on request.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. We'll sign yours before you send files, or provide ours. Your parts, files and data are only used for your project.

How does payment work?

You get an itemized quote first. We invoice by bank transfer (ACH or wire) or card. Larger projects can be split into milestones, agreed in the quote.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Pacific. Emergency downtime support is on call 24/7 — tell the studio agent it's an emergency or pick Emergency in the quote form.

Do you only work with LA clients?

We're based in Los Angeles, but most work happens by mail and email, so we take projects from anywhere in the US. Local clients can drop parts off by appointment.

How much will my project cost?

Hourly rates and fixed-price orders are listed on Services. For anything else, send a quote request — a real engineer replies with a number or a few sharp questions within one business day.
